It's been a sad few weeks for a fellow TTCAL'er. After finding out that her baby had severe abnormalities at 15 weeks, and hearing that her baby would have little to no quality of live, she and her husband made the difficult decision to terminate their pregnancy of their son diagnosed with Trisomy 13.
I can't put into words how strong this woman is for coming out and being so honest about this diagnosis and ultimately her difficult decision. Every couple of days after discovering the condition of her baby, she would report on activities that she did, either alone or with family, to honor her son, Liam. This included reading to him, carving his name in driftwood, as well as taking pictures with her older son while Liam was still with them both. Always so positive, even though we all knew how devastated she must have been.
They said goodbye to Liam on the morning of April 27, 2013.
It's not really rational when you think about how someone you have never met, and will likely never meet, can really move you the way that she did with her story. Although, I think the PgAL/TTCAL community is so strong that the internet walls are brought down substantially so when one of us goes through something terrible, we all feel it in some way or another.
I wish nothing but the best for this woman and her family as they go through the most difficult time in their lives.
Keep the candle burning for Liam.

This story made my heart hurt so much. I am so sorry for this woman and can't even imagine having to make that decision.
